Ancient Greeks believed that dance was created by the Gods themselves, and that is why they connected dances to every cult and religious event. For Greeks, greek dances have a special meaning in their lives because they were created from the depths of people’s souls. They dance and sing to express their feelings, celebrate, welcome the different seasons of the year etc.

Greek dance lessons

  • Experienced dance teacher will introduce you to the world of Greek traditional dances for 1.5 hours.
  • You will get general clothing information about Greek costumes.
  • Get to know some special jewels that adorn them.
  • Get to know the culture of different Greek regions.
  • Have fun dancing while living an unforgettable experience.

Tour Summary

Walk through the beautiful picturesque alleys of Plaka (Old Town of Athens) to reach the property of George Finlay, British historian of the Greek revolution, a well preserved four-floor building with it’s flowery yard where the dance lesson will take place. There, experienced dance teacher will introduce you to the world of Greek folk and traditional dances for 1.5 hours. You will get to know the culture of different Greek regions and at the same time have fun dancing while living an unforgettable experience!

As part of the lessons you will get to know some of the numerous Greek costumes and the special jewels that adorn them, and you will also get general clothing information about Greek costumes.
